Brief

The Proposal requested a total refurbishment and security upgrade for its security control office. The school’s requirements were to improve on the school’s security system as well as allowing maximum coverage for the security operators. The needs of Dundonald Primary School varied from installing new equipment to maintaining, upgrading and extending the coverage of existing equipment.

Strategy

Improve an aging CCTV system by providing 12 additional cameras in and around school. Improve user friendliness of system allowing room for expansion in the future without requirement of replacing existing equipment. Our Solution – Modern user friendly HD system Our solution was approved by school as it was the best system that catered for their requirements stated on the original tender. We proposed a High Definition system over Coax as school wanted to use existing cabling infrastructure as well as keep to their allocated budget yet achieving the required results.

Results

Dundonald primary were extremely satisfied with our new design as we managed to improve image quality by 70% by transforming existing system from a lower resolution to a high definition system. Providing a simplistic and user friendly interface for the school’s security operators. After system installation a full handover was carried out with school’s security operators giving full training on how to operate the newly installed HD CCTV security surveillance system. We redesigned the space in which the recorders and operating equipment were placed, allowing enough room for operators to carry out their tasks as well as providing a two-year warranty maintenance. CCTV monitors were installed in a better viewing position and screens upgraded to a HD and to bigger sizes to enable much detailed viewing across the school.
