The Proposal requested a total security upgrade for office building intercom and access control system. The building requirements were to improve on the security across 4 floors giving control to operators at the front desk. Harbour Exchange, is a collection of nine office buildings situated close to Canary Wharf, the Harbour Exchange serves as one of London’s finest business hubs. Thanks to its prominent location and attractive design – which includes piazza-style workspaces, individual reception areas, greenery and water features – the complex is home to a diverse range of advertising agencies.
Strategy
Harbour exchange required a full system upgrade to an aging system which had several faults and a high repair bill. Existing door entry system was Audio and needed to be upgraded to a video system. The requirement was to provide door entry system across 4 floors integrating 12 doors and 2 lifts to ultimately improve buildings security. Dts London reinstalled an entire new system providing peace of mind to client as they now had one of the world’s leading security door entry and access control in Videx with a long commercial life span.
Results
A fully automated system with integrated with a computer log system. The installation took a total of 9 days with entire cabling system changed as a new video system required different cabling infrastructure. Videx video door entry system was installed with a video handset in each floor allowing each business receptionist to see visitors before granting them access. Each reception was provided with the ability to control different floors and doors from the reception desk through a pc operated software. Access keypad and Proximity key control readers installed on each door systems allowing Harbour Exchange to control and monitor the foot fall traffic. Lifts were successful integrated to the system so that users cannot got to unauthorized parts of the building
