St Mary Abbotts Church

Brief

The Proposal requested a total refurbishment and security upgrade for the St Mary Abbotts Church CCTV security system. The church’s requirements were to improve on the poor state of the security system as well as allowing maximum coverage and user-friendly system for church operators. DTS required to install new cameras in and around entrance of the cathedral. Only 5 out of 6 pre-existing  cameras were operational and were in analogue signal meaning picture was extremely poor.

Strategy

Reinstall a new CCTV system by providing 16new High definition cameras in and around church. Improve user friendliness of system allowing room for expansion in the future without requirement of replacing existing equipment. We proposed a High Definition system over Coax as school wanted to use existing cabling infrastructure as well as keep to their allocated budgetyet achieving the required fantastic results

Results

St Mary Abbotts church were exceptional pleased on final handover as they were now able to identify members of the congregation as well as keep a watching eye on the donation box. With high definition coverage of the exit and entry points of the church the virger was best pleased. A full customer education was then provided as well as full training on how to operate the newly installed HD CCTV security surveillance system. We redesigned the space in which the recorders and operating equipment were placed, allowing enough room for operators to carry out their tasks for future maintenance plans. Since installation Lottering and anti-social behavior around the church has reduced due to signage and strategic positioning of the High definition cameras.
