At DTS, we have two ready-made solutions for business owners who require an added level of security for themselves, their staff and their business. For example, Hikvision has created two security cameras – ideal for the commercial environment – that detect the body temperature of visitors to your office or place of business. If that isn’t enough, we’re also proud suppliers and installers of both the Dahua and FLIR cameras.
This technology allows you or your security personnel to establish if any visitor to the property has an abnormally high body temperature a fever, for instance. The camera then immediately sends a push notification to you, or your head of security, when a high temperature is detected.

How fever detection cameras work
We have two devices available, which are both excellent CCTV systems in their own right. They perform all of the regular functions you’d expect of a CCTV security system, but have an extra layer of security we need in these uncertain times.
By capturing different levels of infrared light, these cameras detect details that are invisible to the naked eye – including heat. So, if a visitor arrived at your door who had a high fever – such as that associated with Coronavirus (COVID-19) – the camera would see this and respond appropriately.
During the setup of the device, we would programme the security system to trigger an alert, which would let you know how to respond to the individual in question – potentially avoiding the infection being transmitted inside your property.
